The selection procedure for the job is really simple and will conduct written examination and other related job test later on to select the candidate for various grades.

Indian Railways always has been the hour of talking point between the youngsters and professionals. Indian Railways historic formation: – From neutral point of view, Railways has had been a government statutory body headed by the Ministry of Railways. It came in to existence in the 18th century, 1853 and first run was between Mumbai to Thane. It is one of the largest Railway network in the world carrying 23 million passengers in a day.

Indian Railway Zones: – It is divided in to 17 different zones and further divided in too many sub divisions. The different Zones are made up of sub divisions having its divisional headquarter. In total, the Railway zonal has 68 divisions. Just in case there is a railway zone in south called as southern zone, represented by General Manager. The southern zone has its divisions in Salem, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Chennai, Palakkad, and Thiruvananthapuram which is under the control of DRM, Divisional Railway Manager.  After that, DRM possesses the authority and can ask any questions on works and complaints to its sub junior staffs of various engineering disciplines like mechanical, electronic, electrical, accounts and personnel etc. Now the hierarchy after them comes to station master who manages and controls the stations and movements of trains which is under their administration.

Recruitment for Indian Railways Personnel is through two channels

How the Recruitment process work for recruiting the staff, engineers and various personnel to unlock the doors of Indian Railways

  1. Indian Engineering Services: – To get in to these elite services of Indian Railways, one needs a sound preparation of basic technical Subjects related to their disciplines. The various disciplines entertained are Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Civil Engineering. This examination is conducted by UPSC to select the best match talented for the Railway Officers. This recruitment is for the Gazetted post Officers rank under A.
  2. Group C and Group D: – The Recruitment process for these employees is carried out by the 21 different Railway Recruitment Boards known as RRB. The Railway Recruitment Cell is authorized to govern and conduct the examination for various posts. It is fully controlled by the Railway Recruitment Control Board known as RRCB. The RRB was set up in 1998 recruiting the candidates since 17 years, headquartered in New Delhi.
