Brief Introduction to DNTE & Admission Procedure
Getting admission in Engineering diploma is rather easy in Tamilnadu as there are 464 polytechnic colleges offers Diploma, certification and PG Diploma Programs. Directorate of Technical education (DOTE) also caters the hotel industry needs and offering 3 years Hotel Management and Catering diploma in their 10 colleges. Candidates have passed the 12th class examination can take an admission in the respective programs.
Moreover, a student holds an ITI certificate from recognised institute can join the Polytechnic college in the 2nd year through lateral entry scheme.
As expected, new admission advertisement will be released in May month and examination for diploma/post diploma to be held in October / November.
