About: Distance education contributor in the state which was the establishment in 1996, Karnataka State Open University is located in Mysore (KSOU). The University is recognised by the DEC, AIU, ACU and AAOU. It is located in Manasagangotri campus and which is around 5 km from the main city and its infrastructure facility includes the Admin Block, Lecture rooms, academic block, guest house, canteen, girl’s hostel and library. Over 40k Students from all over the country are studying various distance learning courses in the university which comprise of 13 multiple disciplines. KSOU was promoted and set up to improve the distance learning course approachable to all deprive people who are seeking for professional/Job oriented course. BA, Bcom, B.ed and BLI.sc are major UG courses offered by the university in Under graduation (UG) Category and PG program which includes MA, Mcom, M.ed, MBA, MSc and LLM.

The KSOU conducts the semester and annual examination for all UG and PG category. However, most of the PG and Diploma courses examination are conducts twice in the year.
