As the JNTU Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad is one of the famous university in the Telangana State, there are lot of colleges affiliated to the JNTU. As the regulations were changing R05, R07, R09, R13, R15, R16 there are certain rules and regulations are also being changed. Paper pattern was changed to R13 regulation students, apart from that R15 has quite new rules and regulations.

Recently the students who use to have more than 75% attendance may have promoted to the next year i.e, first year to second year but this time 2015-2016 academic year the rules have got changed. JNTUH has rolled a new rule that JNTUH 1st year (B.Tech and B.Pharmacy) students should have secured at least 50% credits (i.e, 28 credits out of 56 credits) to get promoted to 2nd year.

As per the sources and the news from Sakshi (08th August 2016), there are almost 14,000 from JNTUH constituent and affiliated colleges students who are failed and detained because of lack of credits. Those students who are detained can’t attend second-year classes, they need to wait for the supplementary exams and clear the papers and secure required credits to continue their engineering or pharmacy. Some students saying that the correction was very tough.

Update on 10-08-2016: Students are thinking to do a rally for the conduction of Special supplementary exams but this news is not confirmed. The Special supplementary exams could be conducted but as now nothing can be said because there is no official news right now.
